Yeah, yeah, so I haven't been posting. But nothing is really new around here, it's pretty much just the same, I'm trying to get more schoolwork in, and I'm also supposed to be memorizing and working on piano and reading for book group (wait, I'm in a book group? What book group?). If you're hoping to hear about my fabulous family, I'll give you the run-down really quickly:
Peter--is as cute as a button. Cuter, even. They just don't make them any better! He's been spotted grinning lately, and weighs around 15 pounds already.
Jamey--has been spotted on a bike without training-wheels! She may be our youngest biker yet.
Kathleen--would probably appreciate my pointing out that she was riding a two-wheeler a whole day before Jamey. Oh, Kathleen also learned how to knit.
Laura--is getting new glasses.
Rachel--is playing both soccer and basketball. She just got accepted on the A team for AAU basketball (her old team split into two), and on the field hadn't let anything past her as in weeks.
John--is finally wearing deodorant.
Jake--isn't. :-P
Yup, I think that about sums it up. I need to be in bed about two hours ago, so ttyl. (Oh, Papa, that means talk to you later, just fyi
;-)

Ok, call me picture-happy. But I figure if a picture is worth a thousand words, who cares that I can't write!! (Oh, if you click this, it gets bigger)

I just found this picture of my Rachel and Peter and had to share it. Isn't she gorgeous? I love her! Besides Peter, it just doesn't get any better (jk).
And then Peter! Can you believe all that perfection was formed in only 9 months? This may not be the very best pic of him, but the last ones I put up make him look like Yoda or something. Here he's actually a person.
I guess I'll publish the picture now, and since we still have dial-up--no, really!-- I'll get to IM and waste time while it loads.Fun! Hey, even living in the stone age has its advantages.

Happy Birthday, Jake!
I am so proud of you, of how you've matured in the last year, of your patience with the little girls, of your willingness to learn. I love you because of your heartiness, diligence and cheerfulness. You don't know how blessed I (and Peter too now!) am to have a brother like you. Keep up the great work, keep growing in the Lord, and have an awesome year being 9!

Summer is officially over here. School started on Tuesday. I'm happy to have order restored, but I and my whole family will still be busy. I'm doing a bazillion more subjects than last year, including German and piano, but we'll see how far I actually get. It will be good to *think* again. AWANA starts this Wednesday--I am doing five handbooks with a friends church and will be a leader at another--and BibleQuizzing starts in a week as well. John and I are both memorizing Romans and James, both of which are really amazing books. (If you know of *anyone* who could be interested in either of these things, let me know!)
I'm aisle going to be babysitting more, which will be ok, but just watching one or two kids can be so tear-your-hair-out boring. Oh well, spending money will be nice again. Speaking of babysitting, I need to go do some crowd-control. Oh, by the way, Peter is just as adorable as ever! He weighs around 13 pounds now! Ta!
