Dig it! Some girlfriends and I went off to a sock hop on Friday night. Which of course morphed into a sleepover. It was really fun to dress up, you probably know how much I like dressing up. I borrowed a shirt from a friend, a sweater from my sister, spent $4.87 on a poodle skirt appliqué and scarf, and wore more makeup than I ever have in my life. My friend's dad was all, "Wow Lydia, you looked like you stepped right out of Grease!" Any other night I would have taken serious issue with that, but that night it was ok. And I ended up winning in a costume competition, which was not bad at all for a five-dollar outfit!
